Under Armour Navy Tackle Twill Hooded Sweatshirt

This week I chose to review the Under Armour Navy Tackle Twill Hooded Sweatshirt. Out of my dozen or so Nevada sweatshirts, this is definitely my favorite. Constructed of 100% polyester, this sweatshirt is very durable, breathable, and very warm. The lining inside simulates fleece and is very soft to bare skin if you're rockin' a t-shirt beneath your hoodie. If you're sporting a long-sleeve, no worries about your under-layers bunching up as pretty much everything glides relatively friction-free beneath this.

In addition to being warm, this piece is definitely stylish and as all hoodies are, very versatile. Bum day around the house? Gotta jet to that night class you wish you didn't register for? Heading to a Pack football game? Just throw this sweatshirt and let the complements roll in. Embroidered with a large Nevada and Wolf Pack below it, along with the Under Armour logo, your friends will be sure to ask you where you got it. One answer. Two words. ASUN Bookstore.

Whether you get a brisk fall evening or a surprisingly cold spring morning, or anywhere in between, the Under Armur Navy Tackle Twill Hooded Sweatshirt from the ASUN Bookstore will be solid as your go-to sweatshirt for just about anything.

Keep textbook prices low!

REMINDER: Textbook Requisitions are due April 15.

On Tuesday evening, the ASUN Bookstore hosted a textbook requisition event to encourage University of Nevada, Reno faculty to submit their textbook orders on time.
Sponsored by ASUN and complete with food from Silver & Blue Catering, ASUN senators mingled with faculty and deans while providing important information on how to help lower textbook prices. Bookstore prizes were given away through a raffle drawing, including mugs, t-shirts and $25 gift cards.
Aaron Ochoa, textbook manager, was pleased with the event and the faculty interest.
"Textbook requisitions are important because it keeps prices low," Ochoa said.

Some textbook statistics for your interest:
Fall 2008-Spring 2009
- 10% of textbook orders were turned in on time.
- 15% of orders were turned in the month that classes started (i.e. January & August), resulting in textbooks not being available for students at the beginning of class.
- $493,000 was given back to the students during book buyback.
- store goal is $1,000,000
- 15% of the textbooks in the bookstore are used books.
- industry standard is 35%

How can you help?
- The following directly affect book buyback and used book availability:
- turning in your textbook orders by the deadline
- reusing the same text for the life of the edition
- ordering books without software components or homework managers (utilize WebCT)
- Contact the bookstore for a quote on what a book would cost the students
- Utilize other avenues such as e-reserve or the custom printing of lecture notes
- Talk to your publishing rep about other options such as binder ready or custom paperback

*REMINDER: All textbook requisitions are due April 15!
